Promotional Video and Brand Style Guide
Overview
I revitalized the brand identity of Talalay Tennis, a premier tennis academy, enhancing its recognition within the Southern California tennis community. Focusing on the advertising video and brand style guide, I aimed to encapsulate the academy's ethos and offerings to strengthen its market presence.
Project Details
wrote, directed, and coordinated the advertising video, managing a team of videographers, voice actors, and on-screen talent. From conceptualizing the script to editing the final cut, I oversaw all aspects of production to deliver a professional portrayal of the academy.
Additionally, I developed a comprehensive brand style guide that includes the core logo and its variations, color palette, typefaces, apparel designs, car wrap design, mood board, and more. This guide ensures a consistent visual identity across all platforms and marketing materials, reinforcing the academy's brand and engaging clients effectively

MomoCon
Event Trailer and Graphic Design
Overview
Since 2017, I have been an integral part of MomoCon, one of the largest gaming and anime conventions in the United States. Collaborating through Smash Studios, I worked with MomoCon as a client to enhance its unique blend of anime, gaming, and convention experiences. My contributions included creating pre-event promotional materials, such as graphics and advertising videos, to generate excitement and attract attendees. Notably, I produced a promotional trailer for the esports event that also highlighted the diverse activities available during the four-day event in Atlanta.
Project Details
Each year, MomoCon flew me to Atlanta to oversee backstage operations at their Smash tournament, a key highlight of the convention. I managed cross-functional media teams of 10 to 20 people—including videographers, photographers, and social media personnel—to ensure seamless operations and maximize audience engagement across various media channels.
Before the event, I created promotional graphics and advertising videos, including talent announcements for players and commentators, to build anticipation and inform attendees about featured personalities. Post-event, I handled coverage graphics to maintain momentum and keep the community engaged. By integrating graphic design, marketing strategies, and event operations, I contributed significantly to MomoCon's continued success and growing presence in the esports and convention community.
FanEco
Brand Design and Strategy
Overview
FanEco is a revolutionary line of racing peripherals by Fanatec, specializing in eco-conscious innovation within the sim racing industry. It offers cutting-edge gaming equipment that harnesses regenerative green energy technology to promote high performance while prioritizing environmental sustainability. With a mission to dominate the sim racing industry through eco-conscious innovation, FanEco aims to become the top choice for all eco-sim racing esports events by 2030.
Project Details
I developed the brand design and strategy for a spinoff brand of Fanatec called FanEco, crafting a visual narrative and a unique, ownable set of values that permeate the brand's messaging. This involved creating a cohesive brand identity that strategically positions FanEco within the market and resonates with the target audience by integrating sustainability into its core.
To bring the brand idea to life, I designed a comprehensive set of applications, including racing peripherals such as sim racing wheels, setups, racing gloves, shoes, and merchandise. These products embody the brand's commitment to eco-conscious innovation, showcasing how regenerative green energy technology enhances gaming performance while reducing environmental impact. The pitch deck and marketing materials highlight these offerings, effectively communicating FanEco's mission to eco-conscious consumers in the sim racing community.

Futures Thinking Concept Pitch Deck
Overview
Eden is a visionary project dedicated to helping individuals rediscover what it means to be human by reconnecting with nature. It provides immersive experiences that tap into the fundamental human need for tranquility and renewal, aiming to restore mental, physical, and spiritual equilibrium. Grounded in futures thinking, Eden brings the calming, restorative power of natural environments into modern life, assisting people in finding balance and serenity amidst busy urban routines.
Project Details
As part of Studio Sahreen,a collaborative team comprising myself (Rhys Benham), Sarah Funderburg and Chaereen Pak, I played a key role in crafting the brand design and strategy for Eden. We focused on anticipating emerging societal needs and designed innovative solutions to address them. We developed user personas and mapped out a user journey, which I brought to life through a video I crafted entirely myself. Utilizing early AI video models and sourcing licensed video clips, I created a compelling visual narrative that embodies the Eden experience.
Additionally, I employed a mix of AI tools like DALL·E and Midjourney, refined within Photoshop, to generate imagery that captured the project's vision. We assembled a deck of slides and a video to showcase Eden's mission and offerings, effectively communicating the brand's value proposition. This project allowed me to blend interdisciplinary collaboration with cutting-edge technology, developing a brand that resonates deeply with individuals seeking to regain their humanity through a reconnection with the natural world.

Red Bull AWOL
Logo Design and Event Applications
Overview
Red Bull AWOL was envisioned as a dynamic esports event symbolizing the transition from work to play, capturing the essence of San Francisco's vibrant culture. I designed a logo that incorporates 3D techniques, dynamic silhouette figures breaking free from corporate constraints, elements of corporate architecture, and futuristic typography. The design embodies professionalism while encapsulating the competitive spirit of esports, reflecting the fusion of corporate life and gaming.

I created the logo and developed brand applications to showcase what the Red Bull AWOL event could look like. These applications included event signage, merchandise, and promotional materials that illustrated the energetic atmosphere of the event. The visual narrative featured individuals escaping the monotony of corporate life, aligning with the event's theme of encouraging participants to break free and engage in competitive play.
Despite the event's cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this project allowed me to gain valuable experience working with a major corporate brand like Red Bull. It enhanced my understanding of corporate branding intricacies and demonstrated my ability to blend professionalism with esports aesthetics. The project stands as a testament to my design expertise and ability to deliver compelling visuals within the dynamic world of esports.
F1 Esports

We're addressing community concerns by transforming F1 Esports from an exclusive, top-tier-focused model into a prismatic, inclusive platform. The existing structure left many racers feeling sidelined, but our changes aim to give every racer a place on the grid, making F1 Esports a true destination for all sim racing enthusiasts.
Project Details
I led the creation of a new set of core values and entirely repositioned the brand to align with the refined audience. This involved a significant visual overhaul that enhanced the brand's aesthetic and reflected its new inclusive direction. Diving deep into the community, I sourced insights directly from racers to ensure the solutions resonated with both existing and new audiences.
To showcase potential sponsorship opportunities and illustrate what esports team representation could look like, I developed a working Faze Clan esports livery and modded it into the game. This hands-on approach bridged brand strategy with technical execution, demonstrating how F1 Esports could engage with popular esports brands that gamers already love, rather than focusing solely on traditional real-world Formula 1 brands.
Rhecc Station

Rhecc Station is a visionary recreational concept for Mars, developed collaboratively with fellow MDes classmates at ArtCenter—Anastasiia Glekel, Becca Zheng, and myself, Rhys Benham. The project explores the importance of leisure in extraterrestrial environments, outlining core brand values, competitor analysis, operational details, and the diverse Martian community it serves. By reimagining Martian leisure with cutting-edge technology and fostering sociability, Rhecc Station aims to enhance the human experience on Mars.

I wrote and fully created the project's video, utilizing AI voiceover, early AI video programs, image generation tools, and visual effects that I filmed and edited myself, bringing the brand to life. Over the years, I have created a diverse collection of apparel and product designs for various brands and events, including Nike, Childlike Faith, Delfino Maza, The Throne, St. Jude Foundation in collaboration with Nintendo, United Gaming League, Talalay Tennis, and more. This body of work showcases my skills as a graphic designer, focusing on creating visually appealing and print-ready designs for apparel, packaging, and merchandise.
Collection Details
In these projects, I was responsible for the complete design process, from initial concept sketches to final print-ready artwork. I designed apparel graphics, product packaging, logos, and promotional materials used across various platforms. My work includes creating designs for clothing items like t-shirts and hoodies, accessories, product packaging, car wraps, and sports peripherals such as dampeners, grip bands, tennis strings, and ball cans.
Collaborating closely with each brand, I ensured that all designs met their specifications and were optimized for production methods like screen printing, digital printing, 3d design, and embroidery. This collection highlights my ability to create compelling visuals and demonstrates proficiency in preparing artwork for various manufacturing processes.
